2010 Artichoke Varieties
Artichoke type garlic is the mild group of garlics. If you want to get the full health benefits of garlic, it must be eaten or used raw...if you can't take the heat...try an Artichoke type. The usually average about 12-18 cloves per bulb and have a tight seal, which allows them to store about 8 months if cured properly. They are also two subvarieties of artichokes that are hardnecks, Turbans and Asiatics.
Size shipped will differ with each variety.
California Late White (Artichoke) This is one of the varieties that made Gilroy famous. It has good flavor and it a good keeper. Prior to the Chinese flooding the market with their crappy garlic, this is the garlic you probably purchased from the grocery store.
